World title challenger Muhammad Waseem announces his return to the ring on March 28th in Kazakhstan. It will be the 12th bout of his professional career.
Lahore, Pakistan – March 3RD 2020 – Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem will be returning to action with his next bout scheduled to take place on March 28th, in Kazakhstan.
The 32 year old last fought in November, where he won a unanimous points decision victory over 2 x former World champion, Ganigan Lopez.
“It is good to have a fight date set in place. I’m looking forward to fighting in Kazakhstan, the home of some of the sports best fighters as of now including Gennady Golovkin”
Kazakhstan will be the 6th country Waseem has fought in since his debut, a resume which includes bouts in: South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Panama and Malaysia.
“Fighting all around the world is only a benefit to me. Every time I am getting more and more experience fighting away from my comfort zone.
But still for me, the dream is and will remain to fight in front of my home fans in Pakistan. I believe it will happen one day inshallah if I keep winning.”
The opponent the Quetta born fighter will face will be 32 year old Ryan Farrag from Liverpool, England. Ryan boasts of a 20-4 record with a win in his last outing which took place in August 2019.
“Whoever I am fighting I am ready. I have been preparing for this fight the past few weeks and I am ready to fight today. I just want to be as active as possible and get more experience under my belt.”
Other fighters to feature on the card will be the undefeated Kazakh native, Zhankosh Turarov as well as Andrey Sirotkin, who fought British fighter John Ryder.
“To be on the undercard of a fighter such as Turarov is an honour. He is a top boxer and definitely one the World will see more of in the next few years. Soon I will also be in the position to top the card.” said Waseem.
